Live from Louisiana: A Hurricane Blogger's Personal Journal 8/31/08 8:29 pm CT

Re Gustav, Baton Rouge is getting some nice little gusts now. I just went to the store about a half an hour ago. When I returned home I noticed the air was perfectly still and muggy. Well no more. We just looked out the window and there is a good strong wind moving through ... the tops of the trees are swaying. Gustav has turned out to be a larger storm than it was previously forecasted to be -It seems that it is going to cut a wider swath across coastal Louisiana.

On the home front, the crawfish etoufee was the best one I've ever made -seasoned to perfection and I did a very thick roux this time. Now we have blueberry muffins and Penne pasta cooking! It's a hurricane thing.
