Tropics are quieter this evening
Well the tropics are considerably quieter this evening. The National Hurricane Center is no longer issuing advisories on Cristobal and Dolly is now moving across land as a tropical storm. The African wave (figure one in the graphic) which is situated in cooler waters at this time has a very low potential for development at least over the next few days. However, at least one computer model does forecast the emergence of a new wave off the African coast in the next 4-5 days. In the meantime we coastal dwellers can look forward to the break in tropical activity.
