Mississippi River Oil Spill - UNIFIED COMMAND RESCHEDULED PRESS BRIEFING

NEW ORLEANS - The unified command has rescheduled the media briefing for 3 p.m. due to weather, and canceled the wildlife operations tour today.   

Who: Coast Guard, Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator's Office, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, American Commercial Lines and other state and local government representatives

 

What: Discuss the ongoing oil spill cleanup operations taking place on the Mississippi River

 

When: Tuesday, July 29, at 3:00 p.m. CST

 

Where: Unified Command Post (located at Oil Mop), 131 Keating Drive, Belle Chasse

   

 
 

Wildlife Rehabilitation experts are still scheduled to clean one dove and a turtle this afternoon in Venice.  

 

Who:  U.S. Environmental Services/Clean Gulf Association 

 

What: Wildlife rehabilitation and education

 

When:  Tuesday, July 29, 1:30 p.m. CST

  Where: Clean Gulf Association office, 42156 Highway 23, Venice, La., 70091
