De-ja-vu for Hancock County Mississippi

Perhaps I spoke too soon in comparing the devastation between Katrina and the 1969 Hurricane Camille - Reports coming in indicate that it is dejavu all over again for Hancock County Mississippi - Biloxi, Ocean Springs. The death toll in that area is coming in at 50 people right now - and 30 of those were in one apartment building - the St. Charles in Ocean Springs, I think it was. One person from Ocean Springs reported that their entire apartment building was gone - leveled, washed out to sea - along with the new million dollar home built by friends on adjacent property. Nothing there but rubble. One fellow from the area said he went through Camille where the devastation on the coast was so bad, but Katrina has created equal devastation not only along the coast but in areas well off the beach front. He mentions that many of the homes that withstood Camillee didn't make it through Katrina. One comparison I watched for early on was the barometic pressure stats - Katrina's barometic pressure fell a little below Camille's as she moved inland. The lower the barometric pressure the tighter the eye which affects the intensity of the storm. However, Camille had winds of up to 200 mph as she slammed into the coast, whereas Katrina came in at about 150 mph. Again, the Biloxi Ocean Springs area - especially at the beachfront -  looked like it was hit by a nuclear bomb - not only in the days following the storm but for years afterward.  I am having a hard time fathoming that the damage from Katrina is comparable. But we will see as new reports and video footage comes in. On another note, I've been told that there are people camping out at Gas Stations in New Orleans. Tulane University students are being told they may not be able to return to school until the Spring semester.
